New Rules for 2009/ 2010
First of all, from 2009 on only CACIL-races will be considered because the difference in performance between national and international races has turned out to be too big. This is an unfair disadvantage for the stronger CACIL fields.
Also, the list 2009 will include all CACIL races in Hungary and the Czech Republic. Which means WELCOME!
Czech Republic with Mlada Boleslav, Kolin and Lednice and
Hungary with Rabapatona.
Since there will be only one European / World Championship race per year,
the special scoring for all finalists including friendship races will change.
European Ch. / World Ch. finalists are awarded 2 points extra,
European Ch. / World Ch. friendship finalists 1 points.
These points are added to the normal points, no division by runs .
A successful, thrilling and fair racing season 2009 to all whippet owners and their dogs!

Point assignment :
1st place = 6 points
2nd place = 5 points
3rd place = 4 points
4th place = 3 points
5th place = 2 points
6th place = 1 point
Special points:
World/European Race Championships
all finalists: 3 points
all friendship finalists: 1 point
points are fully taken into account!
The total amount of points is divided by the number of races entered.
Example:
Dog X participates in five races.
3 x 1st place = 18 points
1 x 2nd place = 5 points
1 x 5th place = 2 points
Total = 25 points
divided by 5 races = 5 points.

Set of rules:
This form of computation is to ensure
that our ranking is performance-oriented and fair to all whippets,
so that we can determine
European’s Whippet Racing Elite 2007.
We will rate all races in the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland
and Germany in which dogs from all these countries may enter.
For example, competitions like the Federation Winner Germany or the
National Swiss Championships will not be rated,
because dogs from other countries cannot participate.
Thus we will guarantee equal treatment of dogs across Europe.
We will rate only whippets males and females starting in Class A
(in countries without categorization such as Austria, all finalists of the racing dog classes, excluding oversize classes like
“Nationale Größenklasse” etc.).
All finalists (except disq.) will be awarded points,
irrespective of the number of participants.
